DORRANCE BLANC

This range is all about Freshness, balance and great drinkability. The Blanc is a 100% Chenin Blanc. The grapes are sourced from vineyards on granite soils in various part of the Swartland.

Latest release (2019)

Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of sun ripened pears and wet granite. The palate has a vibrant acidity balanced by a soft, round texture. The wine has a fresh, mineral finish. Best drunk young and served at 10 to 12 ̊C.

Vinifications

All fruits are whole bunch handled. No crushing or destemming takes place. The grapes are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, kept on its clean lees for four months. No additions are done to the grapes other than sulfur before and after fermentation.

DORRANCE ROUGE

This range is all about Freshness, balance and great drinkability. The Rouge is a 100% Cinsault . The grapes are sourced from vineyards on the different soils in various part of the Swartland.

Latest release (2018)

This seductive Cinsault has a perfumed nose of violets, spice and purple fruits. The medium to full bodied, food friendly palate is finely textured with firm but approachable tannins and as fresh, lingering finish. Best served at 14C.

Vinifications

All fruits are whole bunch handled; no crushing or destemming takes place. The grapes are fermented in opened tank and aged 70% in stainless steel 25% in old French oak barrels. No additions are done to the grapes other than sulfur before and after fermentation.

DORRANCE ROSE

This range is all about Freshness, balance and great drinkability. The Rose is a 100% Cinsault. The grapes are sourced from vineyards on granite soils in various part of the Swartland.

Latest release (2019)

Smooth and elegant, this fresh wine is bursting with summer fruit flavours, complex and easily enjoyable at the same time. The nose of wild berries and fresh white peaches is complemented by a touch of spices. Best drunk young and served at 10 to 12 ̊C.

Vinifications

All fruits are whole bunch handled. No crushing or destemming takes place. Picked early morning those grapes were pressed gently to extract as less colour as possible. The juice was kept 3 hours on skins and naturally fermented in stainless tanks.
